Job Opportunity

Development & Projects Manager

£27,323 pro rata (0.8 FTE / 28 hours per week / flexi time)

It’s an exciting time to join Live & Local. We are growing fast this year to eventually support a network of over 300 voluntary organisations across seven counties in the east and west midlands who choose and promote professional live performances and film screenings for their local community run venues.

You will join a team of eight in Warwick and be responsible for the creation of long-term value for Live & Local from audiences, promoters, artists and other partners consistent with the values of Live & Local. This involves being an ambassador for the organisation, shaping and delivery of a fundraising strategy, managing time limited projects and driving forward new initiatives to ensure long term growth and sustainability.

The successful candidate will have exceptional project management skills and a track record of effective fundraising for cultural projects plus a knowledge of and passion for the performing arts and film. Excellent communication, networking and interpersonal skills are essential, as is the commitment and vision to strengthen and develop the organisation.

Live & Local works to a flexi-time system that allows employees to vary their working hours day to day within specified limits.

Live & Local is a National Portfolio Organisation of Arts Council England.

Deadline: 10am on Monday 13th July 2015.

Interviews: Tuesday 21st July 2015 in Warwick.

Application: Via online application form only. Application pack available for download on our jobs page: www.liveandlocal.org.uk

Mini Proms in the Garden at Beechwood Care Home

Beechwood Care Home is holding a ‘Mini Proms in the Park’ event on Sunday 16th August 2.00pm to 6.00pm.   Beechwood is situated just outside Upton Upon Severn.

We are looking for a variety of performers that could donate their time to this event as we are a non for profit organisation (part of Sanctuary Care).  However we would be able to make a small donation for expenses.

We are looking for a variety of musicians including classical performers, soloists, community group choirs, singer/guitarists, duos, young performers etc  The music would need to be familiar and reasonably popular – so more Classic Fm than Radio 3 and music from the 50’s or 60s would be especially popular, also music from the shows would be great.

For more details – please contact Tina King, Activities Co-ordinator at Beechwood Care Home on 01684 595959 or email Tina.King@Sanctuary-housing.co.uk
