: Arts Fundraising and Philanthropy - Governance training seminars

On behalf of Michelle Wright, Programme Director for Arts Fundraising and Philanthropy, I’m writing to bring to your attention a series of governance training seminars for leaders and trustees which we are now running.  We believe that these seminars offer essential support for arts leaders and trustees in this challenging economic climate.

We have developed the seminars with three exceptional trainers, who all have extensive, high level executive and trustee expertise: Matthew Bowcock, Sir Vernon Ellis and Sir Thomas Hughes-Hallett.  They will lead a three and a half hour training session for leaders and trustees to attend together, giving them the skills and confidence to make fundraising integral to their organisation’s core strategy and operation.

We very much hope that both you and your trustees will be able to join us at one of these sessions.  You can find further information here.

The inaugural seminar will be held on Tuesday 29th October 2013 at Arts Council England head office.  The trainers will be joined at this session by guest panel members Sir Peter Bazalgette and Jane Marriott (Director of the Royal Academy Trust).

Further seminars will be held at Oxford Playhouse on Friday 15th November and the Free Word Centre, London on Wednesday 11th December.

If you would like to speak to myself or Michelle further about these seminars or any other aspect of the Arts Fundraising and Philanthropy Programme, please do not hesitate to get in touch.

With best regards,

Amanda
