I am representing Spotlight Theatre Society, and
in collaboration with the University of Worcester Students' Union, we are
holding our first ever D!Versity
Arts Festival on Saturday, 16th May 2015 within the vicinity of the
Students' Union building on St Johns campus.
In terms of the format of the festival, we are inviting students and members of the public to enter any form of art - whether it be dancing, acting, magic - and perform these at allocated time slots throughout the festival, as well as presenting display work throughout. Entry is free for performers, with the proceeds generated by audience ticket sales going back into the arts' community via the Worcester Snoezelen (http://beta.charitycommission.gov.uk/charity-details/?regid=1023456&subid=0) and Worcester Live Limited (http://beta.charitycommission.gov.uk/charity-details/?regid=701310&subid=0) charities. We are also planning to give out awards for the best categorical performances.
More information can be found on our Facebook event: https://www.facebook.com/events/378953388954794/.
We have set the deadline for performers as the 1st of May 2015, so if you know of anyone who would be interested please ask them to contact me via email: sarm1_13@uni.worc.ac.uk or our Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/SpotlightTheatreNews. All entrants should aim to submit some blurb about their performances before this date.
