WAP Update

Hi – well summer is over but we in WAP are getting into our autumn programme with some great events! Please see below.

WAP's next autumn events are as follows.

We begin with Sunday 4th October where there will be our latest Jump Start Performance event which is taking place at The University of Worcester. There will be six new short plays being performed from both experienced and new theatre makers. It will be a great night and our third event of this kind. Performances will begin around 7pm at The St John's campus.

On Tuesday 20th October at 2pm also at The University is our second 'Moving on Staying On' which is aimed at those students who have either graduated or are looking to graduate. With some great guest speakers including those from The National Theatre's Connection's Programme and the Ikon Gallery this is a must for those who are seeking to stay on in the county as well as those who are looking to support our future arts professionals. Early booking recommended so please look out for the invitation.

On Tuesday 10th November our arts and health group, New Prescriptions make the short journey to Herefordshire at The Courtyard Theatre to take a big part in the Cultural Commissioning event '.

Creative Commissioning – Making connections between the arts and public sector outcomes to improve Wellbeing This is being undertaken with the National Cultural Commissioning Programme and is aimed at both public commissioners as well as those arts organisations who work in the arts and health and children and children and young people area.
