Freelance Artist Opportunities - secondary schools in Worcestershire

BBC 10 Pieces Project

 

FREELANCE ARTIST OPPORTUNITIES

 

Worcestershire County Arts Service and Worcestershire Youth Music are looking for a range of freelance artists to deliver workshops in secondary schools in Worcestershire during May - July 2016.

 

We need artists for a new project where schools are invited to devise and perform creative responses to the BBC’s new Ten Pieces for Secondary Schools

 

We would like to artists from across the county to send us an Expression of Interest in the project. We are looking for a number of artists who are experienced in working in secondary schools with the following skills:

 

-   Physical Theatre

  • Turntablism
  • Composition/devising
  • Percussion
  • Contemporary Dance
  • Street Dance
  • Drama

 

We are particularly interested in hearing from dance and drama practitioners who have experience of working with children with severe learning difficulties.

 

The resulting pieces will then be presented as part of a special performance on Wednesday 6th July 2016 at No 8 Arts Centre in Pershore as part of the Voices and Visions Festival.
