St Swithun’s is an underused community asset – come and hear about our plans to transform the space into SASS: Sound and Art @ St Swithun’s.

Craft skills demonstration – stonemasonry (Heritage Building Conservation) Audience: all.

Make that face!
Make your own face based on the very many sculptures that can be found in the church (Cherubs etc.)  (using paper plates, tissue paper and glue). Prize awarded for best face made after event. On back of the faces we will ask children to write a word which sums up their wish for St Swithun’s. Faces made on day to be displayed on washing line (running across north or south side of church) (consultation tool). Audience: Families and children.

Craft activity 2
Pelican plasticine
Challenge yourself to make the best pelican out of plasticine. At same time children to be asked their thoughts on the project vision and - response to be written on a piece of card and stuck to plasticine pelican with a cocktail stick. Audience: Families and children.
