Turning Point West Midlands is looking to support two separate events in the West Midlands region that further critical debate and discourse on professional artists and the visual arts.
The ambition is for the West Midlands to shape debate, to drive forward new ideas and identify ways in which we can enhance the position of artists and the visual arts.
The successful proposals will be chosen on the strength of how they address this.
Organisations or constituted groups can apply (they in turn can choose to bring in an independent worker).
A sum of £2,250 is available for each event.
The events must take place before December 2013.
DEADLINE FOR PROPOSALS: FRIDAY 26 APRIL 2013 - 5PM

We're opening our contact book and inviting some of the most interesting programmers from across the UK to Birmingham. We'll have 10 representatives from venues, festivals and artist-led spaces coming to introduce their work, meet artists from the region and share relevant opportunities. This is a valuable chance to meet producers and programmers supporting emerging artists across the UK. We hope the event will demystify the programming process and debunk the perceived ‘scariness’ of programmers...
