Acrylics for beginners

 

This course introduces acrylic painting, from the materials to support with the associated techniques from preparing a palette and surface, mixing colours, painting with a knife, making a canvas to mounting completed work.

 

Watercolour for Beginners

 

A fun and practical course, focusing on watercolour painting.  This practical course will help guide you through the technical pitfalls of watercolour, whilst at the same time allowing for experimentation and creativity. Watercolour, gouache and pencil will be used in this ten week course and is perfect for the beginner or intermediate painter looking for a little more guidance.  Some of the skills covered: Drawing, perspective, tone, colour and composition. course aims to introduce the essential skills needed for watercolour painting, the course will include material theory, the use of different watercolours, mixing colours and preparing washes, stretching paper and group step by step paintings.
