The Worcestershire Poet Laureate ends her year in style

The Worcestershire Poet Laureate ends her year in style

To mark the end of her 12 months as The Worcestershire Poet Laureate, Heather Wastie is cramming 3 different performances and a workshop into this year's Worcestershire LitFest. On Wednesday 15th June she presents Weaving Yarns – poems and songs, with accordion, from real life stories of people who worked in the Kidderminster carpet industry. The event starts at 7.30pm at the Museum of Carpet and tickets include entry to the Museum from 6.00pm. On Thursday 16th she is running a free poetry workshop in the morning at St George's Hall, Bewdley, and the same evening you will find her at the Camp House Inn, Grimley, presenting Idle Women of the Wartime Waterways. Her final performance is at Hopfest Music Festival where she invites open mic performers to join her in the poetry tent. For more details of these events see https://worcslitfest.co.uk/
