Recruitment of VCS Affiliate Member of the Worcestershire Safeguarding Adults Executive Board

The Worcestershire Safeguarding Adults Board* is looking to appoint an individual from the voluntary and community sector to become an affiliate member of its Executive Board. Affiliate members receive all papers and can be invited to attend meetings or comment on specific agenda items.  Affiliate members can also request to attend for specific agenda items at the discretion of the Chair. It is anticipated that this role will take up approximately 2 days a year.

The Worcestershire Voluntary and Community Sector Strategic Board are seeking someone with good knowledge of the safeguarding adult’s agenda, who has the ability and skills to effectively reflect the views of the voluntary and community sector to take up this role. This is an important role and we are keen to ensure that the breadth of the sector is reflected.Applications are open to anyone wishing to apply with appointments being made on the basis of how well candidates meet the requirements of the role. 

*The Safeguarding Adults Board is the multi-agency body that oversees Worcestershire's policies for keeping adults (those over 18 years of age) safe. Philip Talbot of Age UK is the VCS Ambassador on the full Worcestershire Safeguarding Adults Board.
