Worcestershire VCS Strategic Board - Key issues and priorities for the VCS Survey

The Worcestershire Voluntary and Community Sector (VCS) Strategic Board has been set up to support the development of the sector, sometimes referred to as the Third Sector, and to provide an independent and influential collective sector voice across Worcestershire.

As a consequence of the changes that are happening in the county and the increasing demands on budgets, the contribution of voluntary and community organisations is greater than ever. The Board will promote the contribution that the voluntary and community sector make to Worcestershire and will consult with individual organisations and thematic groups to assess where the board can have the most impact. It will actively tackle the obstacles and barriers that inhibit VCS progress and establish partnerships with local public and private enterprises.

The Board is now in the process of putting together a Business and Delivery Plan which will set out the priorities for the next 2/3 years. It is important that the work of the Board is strategic, is influenced by the needs of the sector locally and responds to the challenges facing the VCS.

The Board are therefore seeking your views on what you see as the key issues and priorities for them to address. Please can you complete this short on-line survey (cut and paste the link below into your browser) by Monday November 19th.
