Mouth and
Music introduces a new mix of spoken word and music in Kidderminster on the
second Tuesday of every month. On Tuesday 8th July at 8.00pm, former Birmingham
Poet Laureate Jan Watts takes the stage. Jan is well known for her weekly
“Poetry for Lunch” series at the Library of Birmingham. Featured musician is
local singer songwriter Sally Haines with her earthy acoustic soul. A very
popular performer, always busy with gigs, Sally was a 2014 Emergeination
Winner. Short open mic slots are available on the night, first come, first
served from 7.30pm. The MC is poet/musician Heather Wastie and it all takes
place at the Boar’s Head, 39 Worcester Street. See www.mouthandmusic.co.uk
for more details.
