Apply now for the Extend Leadership Programme

Extend Leadership Programme 2013-14
Cross-artform leadership Programme for mid-career professionals working in learning and education
Applications are invited from colleagues working in learning and education roles in the arts to participate in the Extend Leadership Programme 2013-14. Comprising a training needs analysis, two residentials, mentoring and a joint project for participants, Extend aims to give participants the confidence and skills to achieve their leadership potential future. This might be through gaining a leadership position or through achievements that raise the status of the profession as a whole.

There will be 15 places on the Extend Leadership Programme 2013-14. It is envisaged that 9 will be allocated to English candidates, 4 to Scottish candidates and 2 to Welsh candidates. English and Welsh applicants may work in the arts, museums, libraries or heritage. Scottish applicants must be living in Scotland and work in the creative arts sector in Scotland. Applications are not open to Scottish professionals working in the museums, heritage or library sectors.

Extend 2013-14 is funded by Arts Council England, Creative Scotland and the Arts Council of Wales.

End of VisitWorcester's Trading Activities

I am sure you are all aware that Worcester City Council awarded the contract to deliver tourism and city centre services to the Chamber of Commerce from mid March onwards for the next two years, but this email is to confirm that as of close of business tomorrow VisitWorcester will cease all its activities.

I have set out contact details for the future below for your reference, but I would just like to take this opportunity to say thank you to everyone who has contributed to VisitWorcester's work over the past 6 years and before that to Worcester City Centre Forum.  The VisitWorcester team has enjoyed delivering tourism and city centre management services for Worcester and working with you.

Senior Youth Theatre- now recruiting

The Number 8 Youth Theatre comprises of weekly classes culminating in small-scale
performances for friends and family.

Classes are held every Wednesday during term time in the Courtyard Room at
Number 8. Places are available for the Senior group for 12+ year olds.

Summer Term Wednesday 17 April – Wednesday 26 June (no class 29 May)
Wednesdays  6.30pm – 8.00pm  Senior £50 (10 week term fee)

NUMBER 8 OPEN CALL for 2013/14 Gallery Submissions
Number 8 Community Arts Centre is calling for submissions from artists and photographers interested in
exhibiting their work. The gallery space provides the local amateur visual arts community with an
opportunity to exhibit and sell their work. Number 8 programmes art exhibitions for blocks of three weeks
and is looking for exhibitors for mid October 2013 through until the end of 2014.
Applications can be made by individual artists or groups of more than one artist who wish to exhibit together.
