Clod Ensemble - Malvern Cube

Clod Ensemble's new show, The Red Chair which is coming to the Cube on Fri 19th June.  The Red Chair is a fantastic story which plays with words in order to tell the story of a man who could not stop eating and eventually as a result of his gluttony is consumed by his chair. See Clod's page for more info and the show trailer: http://www.clodensemble.com/performance/redchair.htm

Clod will be offering two FREE workshops, as detailed below:
Tues 16th June, 3.30 - 6pm, Malvern Cube
Moving Stories
Join Clod Ensemble's Artistic Director Suzy Willson for a 2 1/2 hour workshop when she will share some of the ideas and processes behind a text based performance such as Red Chair.
Drawing on French theatre teacher Jacques Lecoq’s ideas about physicality - this workshop will touch on illustrative movement, character, and genre as well as the role that music has to play in illuminating a narrative.
Wed 17th June, 6-8pm, Malvern Library
From Man to Chair
A 2 hour workshop on stories and transformation.
Explore techniques and approaches to storytelling in a creative, relaxed environment with artist Sheila Ghelani to create your own original story. This workshop draws on themes of autobiography and transformation in Clod Ensemble’s latest production The Red Chair, a macabre tale of a man who ate so much that he turned into the chair he was sitting upon. (see attached sheet for more info).
Workshops are free of charge, all we ask is that participants buy a ticket for The Red Chair at Malvern Cube on Fri 19th June.
